Chris and Michelle came by the apartment after their tour at the Miss Manon Boulangerie to make macaroons. I showed them how to make caramel, chocolate, and lemon macaroons, which we made while enjoying a baguette sandwich lunch and some vin rouge. As we were waiting for the macaroon shells to cool and as we were assembling them, we snacked on quite a few. By the time we were all done, we'd each had too many to count!!
After we'd stuffed ourselves full of sugar, we headed downstairs to Cafe Marie Stuart for some drinks and people watching on Montorgueil.
For dinner, we headed just a couple of blocks down to Fellini, a cute, romantic Italian restaurant. Throughout dinner, we began talking about our engagement, some of our future plans, and next steps.
We slowly walked home through Les Halles as we took in the vibes of the neighborhood we've come to love so much and call our home for the past 3+ months.
