Starbucks, X-Men, Latin Quarter, Berthillon, Forum des Halles

I'm usually a big Starbucks fan back home, but since the coffee is so much better at the random cafes here, I haven't indulged into a Starbucks craving. Today, however, we were waiting by the movie theater for our showing and wanted to see if Starbucks coffee would measure up to the coffee we've been having... and it didn't. It was too light and not at all pleasant. :-(

Quinn has been waiting for X-Men to come out in theaters so since I had a day off today, we went to see an early show. A matinee show here is a show that shows before noon, and we just happened to be seeing an 11:20am show. The movie was entertaining but a bit too violent and had too many themes of betrayal.

For lunch, we headed to the Latin Quarter for some Greek food. It's called the Latin Quarter because Latin was the language primarily spoken in that area during the Middle Ages as it was the international language of learning.

At Maison de Gyros, we had the gyros plate, and it was sinfully delicious.
Every time we try going to Berthillon, we end up at a different establishment or it's closed. Today was no different. We passed by the Ile de St. Louis on the walk home and thought we'd give it a try, but it's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays... oh well... until next time.

We were still able to get some Berthillon ice cream at one of the nearby vendors and enjoyed it while sitting on a bench next to the Seine River. This was our third time trying Berthillon ice cream, and each time, I think it will be better.... but, this will be my last time trying Berthillon ice cream since it can't seem to beat Deliziefollie.

We stopped by the Forum des Halles to do a little bit of window shopping. It's so convenient being just 2 minutes from home!
